Plans, pricing, and limits
Knurl is priced by tier, not by user. Every plan includes unlimited users within its asset cap. Pick the tier whose features and asset cap match your operation; upgrade later in one click.
The five tiers
Starter — $29/mo or $290/year
Up to 50 assets · up to 10 users · 1 facility. Includes the core work-order loop, asset registry, QR stickers, mobile app, photo proof, audit log, data export. No advanced features.
Good for: small property managers, single small workshops.
Team — $79/mo or $790/year
Up to 200 assets · unlimited users · 1 facility. Adds preventive maintenance scheduling, spare parts inventory, and recurring work orders.
Good for: a single facility doing real maintenance, not just reactive fixes.
Operations — $199/mo or $1,990/year
Up to 1,000 assets · unlimited users · up to 3 facilities. Adds analytics, vendors and purchase orders, public API + webhooks, SLA timers, approval workflows, location hierarchy.
Good for: the full operations toolkit. Most paying customers land here.
Portfolio — $399/mo or $3,990/year
Up to 2,500 assets · unlimited users · up to 5 facilities. Adds multi-facility rollup, cross-site benchmarking, central vendors, per-site permissions, budgets, and bulk import.
Good for: regional operators with 2–5 sites and a portfolio view.
Enterprise — $10,000/year (annual only, custom-quoted floor)
Unlimited assets · unlimited users · unlimited facilities. Everything in Portfolio plus IoT sensor ingest, ERP integration, predictive maintenance, SSO/SCIM, custom roles, custom retention policy, sandbox environment, and on-prem deployment option.
Good for: regulated industries, large estates, and security-conscious organisations.
Add-ons
Three add-ons stack on top of any paid plan:
- Extra facility— $50/month per additional facility, on top of your plan's cap.
- Extra 1,000 assets— $50/month per additional 1,000 assets, on top of your plan's cap.
- SSO — $100/month, adds SAML SSO to Portfolio (already included in Enterprise).
Add-ons are managed from the dashboard's Billing page. They renew on the same cycle as your base plan.
What "unlimited users" means
Every plan above Starter has unlimited users. You don't pay per seat. Add as many technicians and managers as you need. Knurl's economics assume your team will grow — we'd rather have you all on the same plan than gating you with a per-seat tax.
Upgrades and downgrades
- Upgrade— instant. Polar charges the prorated amount, the new plan's features unlock on the next request.
- Downgrade — takes effect at the next renewal (you keep what you paid for).
- If a downgrade would put you over the new plan's caps (e.g. 250 assets when downgrading to Team's 200), the downgrade is blocked until you remove the overage.
Free trial
Every new account starts on a 14-day Team-tier trial. No credit card required. The trial includes preventive maintenance, parts inventory, and recurring work orders — the same as a paid Team plan, capped to one facility and 200 assets. On day 11 the dashboard reminds you to subscribe; on day 15 the license lapses to read-only.
